Imagine that you are walking on a tropical beach. It’s getting dark, you look into the distance, enjoying the sea… An incredible cascade of colors appears on the horizon: from fuchsia to gold, orange and burgundy shades. Want to see something like this right now? To do this, you don’t need to book a flight to the south. You can simply recreate the shades of the sunset – on… your face. All you need is at least two shades of blush and a liquid highlighter.
A new trend in applying blush was invented by users on social networks. Instead of waiting for summer, they used tropical sunset shades on the apples of their cheeks. This is how the Sunset Blush technique appeared.
A new makeup technique for summer:
People first started talking about the technique when blogger Alyssa Janay published a tutorial on how to combine pink, carrot and gold when applying blush. Her subscribers liked the video so much that it quickly began to gain millions of views (for a second, it now has more than ten million views). The girl shows how she applies blush. She uses liquid products in two shades – carrot and fuchsia. And then complements the result with a golden highlighter.
Tomato makeup!
Unlike the “tomato makeup” trend, which imitates the toastiness after sunbathing, or the slavic girl, where you need to create a blush that appears to have appeared from the cold, sunset makeup does not look so natural. But this is its charm.
If you want to recreate Alyssa Janay’s version, follow these seven steps.
Follow 7 steps:
1.Prepare your skin for makeup using liquid toners. It is desirable that they be translucent, for example, BB or CC cream.
2.When the base is ready, proceed to applying blush (again, liquid). Start with pink shades and use them on the cheekbones near the temples (and only there). This will be the basis for the gradient.
3.Then take a carrot or orange blush and apply it after the pink one – closer to the apples of your cheeks.
4.Next you will need a golden highlighter. It is better if it is liquid, like all other products. Apply a few drops of highlighter over the blush line and also in the corners of the eyes.
5.Using a brush, blend the pigment from temple to cheek. Don’t be afraid to mix colors, like overlapping some of your orange blush with pink. Stretch the gold highlighter down towards the blush. Ideally, you should end up with a shiny pink to carrot gradient.
6.Finally, sweep the brush from the corners of the eyes to the center of the eyelid.
7.Secure the result with a fixative spray.
